Representatives of the World Health Organisation (WHO), on Thursday the 25th of May 2023, made a courtesy call to the office of the Executive Chairman of Igbo-Etiti LGA, Hon. Ikenna Nwodo.
During the visit which took place at the council headquarters in Ogbede, the Mayor was decorated with a WHO label, as a symbol of the partnership that the organisation is hoping to establish with the council area.
The group also seized the opportunity to create an awareness about Acute Flaccid Paralysis(AFP), while adding that they hope in future, Igbo-Etiti can set a standard for what healthcare should be.
Responding, Nwodo expressed gratitude for the honour bestowed on him, and also affirmed that his administration is committed to quality healthcare delivery for the people of Igbo-Etiti.
He said, “we are going to do so. We will do all our best to make the people of Igbo-Etiti proud”.
