1,000 Igbo-Etiti Residents Set for Health Coverage

In a major push for healthcare access, Dr. Eric Odo, Chairman of Igbo-Etiti Local Government Area, revealed plans to enroll 1,000 residents in the Enugu State Health Insurance Scheme. The announcement came during a visit by the Department of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery, University of Nigeria Teaching Hospital (UNTH), Ituku/Ozalla, at the Council Headquarters in Ogbede.

Leadership with Empathy

Dr. Odo stated that the enrollment is part of his commitment to ensuring healthcare reaches every corner of Igbo-Etiti. He stressed that his administration is driven by empathy and courage, making bold decisions that benefit the people.

“We are on track to develop Igbo-Etiti LGA in the way it truly deserves. Our commitment to uplifting the less privileged and marginalized members of society remains unwavering.”

Earlier, Dr. Uchenna Okechi, Head of the Department of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery at UNTH, praised Dr. Odo’s leadership and pledged the department’s full support in realizing the council’s healthcare and development goals.
