The Chairman of Igbo-Etiti Local Government Area, Dr. Eric Odo, has announced plans to provide electricity to Udueme community. He made this commitment during a visit by Igwe Emmanuel Odoh, the community’s traditional ruler, and Hon. Ifebuche Igwebueze, Councillor representing Udueme Ward, at the Council Headquarters in Ogbede.

Ending Decades of Darkness

Regretting the failures of past administrations to provide electricity, Dr. Odo emphasized that his administration’s goal is to deliver long-lasting solutions. He reassured the community that his government is determined to foster innovation and improve rural infrastructure.

“Our primary focus is to ensure that the residents of Udueme community have access to reliable electricity, a service they have long been without. We are committed to providing brand new transformers, not refurbished ones, because we want to ensure long-lasting solutions.”

Community Reactions and Support

Responding to the announcement, Hon. Ifebuche Igwebueze, Councillor representing Udueme Ward, expressed gratitude to Dr. Odo for prioritizing the community.

He remarked that the electricity project would restore the community’s faith in government and pledged the community’s unwavering support for the administration’s future initiatives.
