Former Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) chairmen in Igbo-Etiti Local Government Area, who have served since 1999, have pledged their unwavering support to the current council chairman, Dr. Eric Odo, and Governor Peter Mbah, including his second-term ambition.

During a courtesy visit to Odo at his Ogbede office, the pioneer PDP chairman in the LGA, Mr. Alfred Ugwu, commended Odo for his remarkable projects and assured that they would work with him to ensure he delivers on his campaign promises. He emphasized that their loyalty would also extend to Governor Mbah in his drive to advance the development of Enugu State.

Commitment to Inclusive Leadership

In his remarks, Dr. Odo reaffirmed his dedication to inclusive governance, stressing that leadership is built on responsibility, performance, and the trust of the people. He highlighted the importance of collaboration with both past and present leaders in moving Igbo-Etiti forward.

Plans for Town Hall Engagement

Dr. Odo also announced plans to host a Town Hall Meeting in September where he will present his stewardship report as his administration approaches its one-year mark. The meeting will provide an opportunity for citizens to engage directly with the council, fostering transparency and accountability.

Support for Governor Mbah’s Vision

Acknowledging the contributions of past leaders in the LGA, Dr. Odo assured them of respect and recognition. He further called on them to continue supporting Governor Peter Mbah’s administration, stressing that aligning with the governor’s policies is vital for the progress of both Igbo-Etiti and Enugu State as a whole.
