The Chairman of Igbo-Etiti Local Government Area, Dr. Eric Odo, has officially flagged off the construction of the 16.5KM Umuoka – Nkporogwu Ukehe – Ngele Okwete – Ugwuogo Nike Road.
Speaking during the flag-off ceremony on Wednesday at Eke-Achara in Ukehe, Dr. Odo emphasized that the project would enhance connectivity, ease transportation, and create new economic opportunities for the people.
He also announced the commencement of road openings across all 20 electoral wards in the local government area, a move aimed at ensuring better access to various communities.
A Strategic Project with Security Enhancements
Dr. Eric Odo highlighted that the Umuoka road construction would be completed within 90 days and would be equipped with solar-powered streetlights to improve security along the route.

“This road cuts across three local government areas—Udi, Igbo-Etiti, and Enugu East. It will ease the movement of people and agricultural produce, addressing a long-standing concern of our farmers.”
