Igbo-Etiti Chairman Vows to Build Homes for Two Widows

The Chairman of Igbo-Etiti Local Government Area of Enugu State, Dr. Eric Odo, has pledged to build houses for two widows in the area. He also assured them of ongoing welfare support, including covering their medical expenses.
Beneficiaries of the Initiative
The beneficiaries, Mrs. Margret Eze from Umuna and Mrs. Sophia Agu from Aku community, expressed deep gratitude for the life-changing promise. Dr. Odo emphasized that this initiative is not just a fulfillment of his campaign promises but a reflection of his unwavering commitment to improving the welfare of widows in Igbo-Etiti.
A Surprise Visit with a Heartfelt Pledge
During an unscheduled visit to the widows on Monday, Dr. Odo reiterated that his administration prioritizes the well-being of the less privileged and aims to enhance their quality of life. He assured them that the houses would be completed within two months and reaffirmed his dedication to uplifting the downtrodden in the local government area.

“I am committed to ensuring that the resources of Igbo-Etiti, entrusted to my care, are used to improve the lives of the people, especially those neglected by previous administrations. This initiative will go a long way in restoring trust and confidence in the government. Let me categorically state that Igbo-Etiti has the capacity to care for everyone,” Dr. Odo assured.


Tears of Joy and Gratitude
Overwhelmed with emotion, the widows shed tears of joy as they thanked the Igbo-Etiti council boss for his kindness. They noted that no previous administration had shown them such compassion, a reality that Dr. Odo has now changed for the better.
